Christopher House reflects on four decades with the Toronto Dance Theatre
After a tenure spanning 41 years at the Toronto Dance Theatre — including 26 years as its artistic director — contemporary dancer and choreographer Christopher House is saying goodbye.
House is a member of the Order of Canada, has won multiple awards and has choreographed more than 60 works for the Toronto Dance Theatre. The theatre's latest production, House Mix, celebrates some of House's most influential works.
He joined host Tom Power live in the q studio to reflect on his career and choreographic work, which has been marked by innovation, experimentation and risk.
House Mix is at the Harbourfront Centre's Fleck Dance Theatre from now until Saturday, Feb. 15. You can watch an episode of the CBC Arts show In The Making that features House on CBC Gem.
