Royal Canadian Air Farce comedian Dave Broadfoot dead at 90
q spoke with Royal Canadian Air Farce's Luba Goy about Broadfoot's comedic legacy
News broke last night that Royal Canadian Air Farce comedian Dave Broadfoot has dead at age 90.
"He was an inspiration to the Air Farce," fellow cast member Luba Goy remembers. "He taught us everything we needed to know about radio — he was a tremendous legacy."
Goy, who was younger than Broadfoot, looked up to him and his satirical comedy. She even credits him with starting this type of humour when he was on The Ed Sullivan Show in the '50s, when she and many others were just "picking our noses, as kids."
"He was committed to Canadian culture," she continues. "I'm so glad he had that genius in him to come up with those incredible characters."
