It's no surprise Tannahill was up to the task. The Governor General's Award winner built his career on innovation and pushing risk-averse Canadian theatre out of its comfort zone. 

Today he joins guest host Sean Rameswaram to explain why the play was considered such a daunting project, and why he was attracted to Heti's "gut-punching critique of the pursuit of happiness".
