Flight of the Conchords' Jemaine Clement on socially awkward vampires

Vampires: they're just like us. They fight with messy roommates, dodge ex-lovers and wonder how they fit into the bizarre society around them.

Vampires: they're just like us. They fight with messy roommates, dodge ex-lovers and wonder how they fit into the bizarre society around them.

That's the premise of the new vampire mockumentary starring Flight of the Conchords co-creator
Jemaine Clement. Unlike the romantic, brooding vampires in dramatic classics, What We Do in the Shadows follows a group of socially awkward friends grappling with rather mundane problems -- like getting invited into nightclubs.

Clement joins guest host Sean Rameswaram to discuss his new film, the appeal of outsider comedy, and whether Flight of the Conchords will fly again.

What We Do in the Shadows hits theatres in the U.S. and select Canadian cities -- Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal -- this Friday, and Ottawa and Calgary next week.

(Plus, here's that classic bit from Flight of the Conchords mentioned on air).
