Eric Andre on the joy of watching celebrities cope with nonsense

Anarchic alt-talk show host Eric Andre shares how he got comfortable with making other people uncomfortable. So very uncomfortable.

The Eric Andre Show is the kind of talk show where the host might take a chainsaw to his desk, or drink his own urine, or interview a burning couch.

In other words: it's like nothing else on TV.

"It's just like watching a caveman panicking," says Eric Andre, the comedian behind the chaos.

The unpredictable entertainer joins guest host Piya Chattopadhyay to discuss his anarchic alt-talk show on Adult Swim, how he lures celebrities into stressful situations, and how growing up as a half-black Jew in Florida helped him feel comfortable out of place.

"That's where the comedy is," says Andre, admitting that it's not easy to regularly unleash chaos upon the world.

"I've almost died a few times."
