- With last week's announcement of Gord Downie's cancer diagnosis, and the Tragically Hip's upcoming farewell tour, fans were ready and waiting when pre-sale tickets went live. When every venue across the country sold out in minutes, outraged fans blamed scalpers, but technology may really be to blame for this one.
- Author David Mitchell has a brand new manuscript, but you'll never know what it is because you'll be dead by the time it's released. Mitchell is the second contributor to the Future Library Project, which buries an author's unread work in a forest in Oslo, Norway to be dug up in 2114 and printed on paper made from surrounding trees.
- The grandfathers of punk rock, the Stooges, are now actual grandfathers and as such, their sound has changed a bit. Known for their wild riffs and proto-punk tunes, Stooges guitarist James Williamson is now tackling children's music with I Love My Tutu, a benefit single for the charity Project Hawaii.
