"What's it like being a female comedian?"

It's a question that Sara Pascoe has fielded so often that it inspired her to write a whole book. Animal: The Autobiography of the Female Body offers a cheeky but well-researched reply to the inquiry, with a focus on the female part.

What does it mean to be a woman? How do science and culture battle over female bodies? And are womenfolk really driven by the pursuits like love — or is that just "a compulsive motivation towards a certain person ruled by evolutionary selection bias and a neurochemical reward system"?

Pascoe joins Shad to discuss.
