Why The Lumineers will never say 'we've made it'

Moving on from their ubiquitous single "Ho Hey", The Lumineers discuss their upcoming record "Cleopatra" and how to move on after the big hit.

From coffee shops to quaint weddings, the Lumineers' uber hit Ho Hey was pretty much impossible to avoid in 2012. Their self-titled debut sold millions and saw the relatively obscure folk rockers skyrocket to international fame.

But the big hit is always followed by big pressure, and vocalist Wesley Schultz says there's something odd about the climb up.

"They love to see you struggle but they hate to see you succeed," he says, adding that the band is now focusing on staying grounded and returning to the roots. Success, like failure, has its challenges, but the Lumineers still feel lucky.

Four years later, the band drops their sophomore record Cleopatra, an album that that sees the band reflect on their fast rise.
