UK post-punk band Savages return to studio q to perform "Adore" from their new record "Adore Life".

Savages is back with their new record Adore Life, complete with new sounds and lyrics to challenge their audience. The subject of their music this time around? Love.

During their last tour, vocalist Jehnny Beth says she was constantly writing about love and wasn't sure how to break it to her fellow bandmates, since they were consciously avoiding matters of the heart in their first album.

"There were more pressing things we wanted to talk about, that we were experiencing together as a band," she adds.

But what Savages found with Adore Life is how important these songs are to listeners, who find meaning for themselves in the lyrics.

"When a song is released it's not yours anymore, it has its own journey, it has its own history," Beth tells Shad.

Savages also talk about the importance of clarity when they work, their performance in Paris after the attacks, and music as a tool for uniting community across borders and boundaries.
