Alessia Cara's debut album Know-It-All
When she was just 13 years old and living in Brampton, Ont., Alessia Cara started a YouTube channel, posting covers of famous pop songs.
Soon, people took notice. Now, at age 19, her official VEVO channel has over 260,000 subscribers with more than 39 million views.
Her debut album, Know-It-All, is one of the most anticipated pop records of the year.
Cara overcame her apprehension for performing in front of a crowd by uploading videos, first for friends and family on her Facebook page, then taking it public on YouTube.
Her cover of Taylor Swift's Bad Blood got the pop superstar's attention this summer:
