'French Seinfeld' Gad Elmaleh courts English speakers
Gad Elmaleh has been called the funniest person in the country — but if you don't recognize his name, that's because his country is France.
The stand-up comedian sells out arenas in major cities, appears in blockbuster movies, and plays mentor to up-and-coming comedians. But instead of resting on his laurels, Elmaleh is attempting to win over a new audience with his All in English tour.
Today he joins guest host Piya Chattopadhyay to discuss the bold move, the words and phrases that trip him up in English (his third of four languages), and why he's losing sleep every night, no matter how his set goes.
