How Leonard Cohen's poetry informs his songwriting
Damian Rogers, the poetry editor at The Walrus, speaks on Leonard Cohen's history of poetry.
Leonard Cohen was known as both a prolific songwriter and a poet, the latter of which was where the Canadian icon got his start.
"Leonard Cohen's history as a poet informs his songwriting," The Warlus' poetry editor Damian Rogers notes. "It's a unique approach to songwriting."
She adds: "He's coming from a very different approach, I think, to writing than a lot of pop lyricists or rock lyricists."
