From "stay" to "action!": training dogs for the stage

Guest host Tom Power speaks with the "dog whisperer of Broadway", Bill Berloni, about his almost 40 years of training dogs for stages and screens.

When Bill Berloni was a tech apprentice at a small theatre in Connecticut, no one else wanted to train a dog for their production of Annie. So Berloni, 19 years old at the time, agreed to take the job in exchange for a small role in the play.

By the age of 20, he was a world famous animal trainer.

Nearly 40 years later, Berloni has helped countless furry friends get their chance at stardom, whether it's in theatre, movies, or television. He's also the only animal trainer to ever win a Tony Award.

Guest host Tom Power talks to Berloni about his unique career, what makes a good stage dog, and his new reality TV series on the Discovery Family Channel, From Wags to Riches.
