Remembering Jurgen Gothe (1944 - 2015)

We have sad news this morning here at the CBC. Beloved long-running radio host Jurgen Gothe has died. For over 20 years, the Vancouver-based broadcaster hosted CBC Radio 2's national afternoon radio show Disc Drive

On the heels of the news, guest host Talia Schlanger checks in with CBC producer Grant Rowledge, who worked alongside Jurgen for years.

"When he turned his mic on, he spoke to me," says Rowledge, adding that the often-shy host opened up on the airwaves, often getting up to dance to the great music he played on his show.
