Why Colm Feore gets a kick out of playing villains
Colm Feore's role on CBC's new original drama 21 Thunder is a natural fit. He plays a powerful crime boss trying to reconnect with his estranged son from behind bars, and Feore's made a career out of playing damaged and dangerous characters.
21 Thunder is about players and coaches from the competitive world of an under-21 soccer franchise in Montreal.
The show premieres tonight (July 31) on CBC Television. And while it does have elements of a "clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose" sports drama, it also plays like a gritty crime story.
Feore is known for his roles in movies like Thor, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, House of Cards and the Bon Cop, Bad Cop series. The actor talks to Ali Hassan about how his career of playing villains lines up with his work on 21 Thunder.
The show premieres tonight at 9 p.m., 9:30 p.m. in Newfoundland on CBC.
