Twitter virtuoso Jonny Sun finds meaning in the 'consciously simple'

Author and Twitter personality Jonathan Sun, a.k.a. Jonny Sun, breaks down his minimal style of writing and comedy, and how that all came together in his book, Everyone's a Aliebn When Ur a Aliebn Too: A Book.

Jonny Sun is not unlike his Twitter alien alter-ego.

On the social media platform, Sun is an alien who is not the best at the English language, littering his posts with typos. While Sun in real life is much better with his spelling, his admits that his sentiments are the exact same. "I feel like I'm writing just about my own experiences, maybe filtered through a specific lens or a specific voice," he explains.

Sun has now taken his popular online musings and put it into a brand new book called Everyone's a Aliebn When Ur a Aliebn Too: A Book.

Today, he joins Ali Hassan on the show to discuss his minimal style of writing and comedy, how he found a community and an audience on Twitter and finding Asian role models in the media growing up.
