Burden of Truth's Meegwun Fairbrother on how he learned to embrace his Indigenous identity
Meegwun Fairbrother is an actor of Ojibway and Scottish origin who stars as Owen Beckbie, the tough, smouldering chief of police on CBC's legal drama Burden of Truth. This season he also joined the show's writer's room. His past roles include parts in APTN's Mohawk Girls and the Syfy series Helix. Fairbrother joined q's Tom Power live on the line from Winnipeg to talk more about Burden of Truth and how each of his past roles have allowed him to embrace his Indigenous identity in a different way, both on and off the screen.
