Kyle MacLachlan has never been so challenged, creatively, as he was playing the many iterations of the beloved Agent Dale Cooper character on Twin Peaks. The fictional town of Twin Peaks first began to haunt the hearts and minds of TV audiences 27 years ago.

A murder takes place, but the show wasn't just about solving a mystery. Rather, it was about all the darkness lurking behind your average American small town.

Twin Peaks was only on the air for two seasons, but it quickly became a cult favourite, pushing the boundaries of TV storytelling. It was "bingeworthy" and "viral" before either of those was a thing.

MacLachlan has been living in Twin Peaks for decades and he talks to Tom Power about how working with David Lynch pushes your inner artist in ways you can't imagine.
