The new film Indian Horse chronicles the life of Saul Indian Horse, an Ojibwa boy forced into Canada's residential school system, and the painful life journey he takes to find himself and his place in the world.
Indian Horse is an adaptation of the bestselling novel by late Ojibwa author Richard Wagamese and is directed by Canadian filmmaker Stephen Campanelli, who has worked as a cameraman on Clint Eastwood movies like Bridges of Madison County, and Oscar winners Million Dollar Baby and Mystic River.
Indian Horse is Campanelli's second film and he talks to Tom Power about the process of bringing the film to the big screen.
