Bruce Cockburn thought he ran out of songs but now he's back with Bone On Bone
Legendary Canadian songwriter Bruce Cockburn is back with Bone on Bone his first album in almost seven years.
Cockburn's last artistic foray was the 2014 release of his memoir Rumours of Glory, which left the veteran songwriter wondering if he was ever going to be a songwriter again.
After a long period out of the recording spotlight, Cockburn is firmly back on the Canadian pop-culture landscape.
Not only is Bone on Bone being released on Sept. 22, but the next day, Cockburn will be inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame alongside Beau Dommage, Stéphane Venne and Neil Young.
In conversation with q host Tom Power, Cockburn speaks about his reputation as a songwriter who incorporates politics into his songs and how that translates to present-day realities.
Bruce Cockburn begins his latest Canadian tour tonight (Sept. 15). Find out full details here.
