On the life and music of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington
Chester Bennington, lead singer of rock band Linkin Park, had died at the age of 41. The death is being investigated as an apparent suicide. His band just recently released their seventh album, One More Light, and they were slated to kick off their North American tour next week.
This is the second apparent suicide from the rock world in just the past few months. In May, Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell was found dead in a hotel room in Detroit after performing onstage with his band. The two musicians were known to be close, and yesterday would have been Cornell's birthday.
Freelance music journalist and producer at Banger Films Liisa Ladouceur joins guest host Ali Hassan today to discuss Bennington's life and music.
