Jason Mewes and his friend Kevin Smith, a.k.a. Silent Bob, have created a podcast called Jay and Silent Bob Get Old — the latest incarnation of the TV and film characters that began in 1994 with Clerks.

Mewes says the podcast helps maintain the Jay and Silent Bob friendship, aids them in coming to grips with their own mortality, and has become a safe place to discuss his continuing battle with addiction.

The podcast has touched on parenting, marriages and sobriety in over 200 episodes. It's not exactly what fans have come to expect and love from Jay and Silent Bob.

Jay and Silent Bob will be performing tonight (Aug. 25) at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto.
