Sting and David Foster perform My Funny Valentine LIVE

A funny thing happened in the studio today. As luck would have it, Sting came by to do an interview about his latest project, The Last Ship, which you will be able to hear on the show on Thursday. Right after Sting, David Foster, the Canadian composer and producer behind hit songs by everyone from Celine Dion and Michale Bublé to Whitney Houston and Barbra Streisand, was going to sit down with Tom Power to talk about his career. You'll be able to hear that interview on Friday.

However, when Foster found out that Sting was in, he had to come by and say hello to his old friend. When you have two music icons in a room and one piano, well, something is bound to happen. You can watch that encounter above, as Foster, seated at the piano, leads Sting through a playful, impromptu take of the Rodgers and Hart classic show tune My Funny Valentine
