There are certain topics that are banned from dinner table conversations — things that make us cringe when they're brought up.
Anna Sale wants to change that, by having intimate, in-depth conversations about the things that make many people uncomfortable. And it's all right there in the title of her podcast: Death, Sex & Money.
Launched in May 2014, the show tackles big questions and hard choices that are frequently excluded from polite conversation. It features intimate chats with celebrities and listeners about money, relationships, infidelity, career shifts, parenting, mental illness, divorce, gender identity, dying, and more.
Sale won a Gracie Award for best podcast host in 2016 for the show. She joined us remotely to talk about why it's important to address difficult issues and how she makes her guests comfortable enough to share intimate stories.
She also told us about some of her favourite podcasts. You can find her picks below.
