Whether you're best friends or drive each other up the wall, the relationships we have with our siblings can be some of the most formative of our lives.

On this episode of Now or Never, meet brothers and sisters who are facing a life-changing moment right now, and how their siblings are helping them through.

Rowan Moir is only 14 days old, but he already has two big brothers looking out for him. Five-year-old Dax and two-year-old Hayes share what they love about their baby brother ("He has 78 hairs"), and what makes them "the Moir boys for life."

When Barb MacLaren was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2020, her older sister Monika realized there were  things about her sister's life she didn't know. So she showed up one day with a laptop and started asking questions, carefully recording every last detail of Barb's 41 years — the backpacking adventures, her wedding — as something to pass on to Barb's two young children. But these sessions have also been a way for these tight-knit sisters to laugh, cry, and express gratitude in the time they have left.

What do you get when you take two siblings who haven't lived together in 12 years, put them under the same roof, and get them to record videos for social media? Well, if you're Amreen and Swarndeep Gill, you end up with more than 10 million likes on TikTok and a few scratches along the way.

For sisters Tara Taylor and Deidre Dorrington, styling hair has always been a bonding activity. Now they're taking a leap and opening up a salon together in Halifax, focused on natural Black hair. The question is, how well will business and family mix?

15-year-old Riley Cole and his little brother Evan reflect on how Riley's autism impacts their relationship.

Sibling Takeover! Ify's sister Chisom Chiwetelu and Trevor's brother Kyle Dineen spill the beans on what it was like growing up with the future CBC Radio hosts.

And when Kendara Ballantyne was found dead in The Pas, Manitoba, her big sister Gloria vowed to make sure her name is not forgotten — and seek justice for her sister, despite the pain of her grief.
