This week, DNTO travels to Shoal Lake 40 First Nation.
A remote community on the Manitoba-Ontario border, they were cut off from the mainland 100 years ago to make room for an aqueduct to Winnipeg. Today, the community is hopeful that Freedom Road will finally reconnect them with the outside world.
Come along with guest host Ismaila Alfa, and meet some of the incredible people who call Shoal Lake 40 home.
