Riffed From The Headlines 12/09/2015
Riffed From The Headlines is our weekly quiz where we choose three riffs linked by one story in the news. Guess the story that links the riffs and you could win a Day 6 tote bag! You can listen to this week's clue below and email us your answer at day6@cbc.ca. Make sure to include your mailing address and put "Riffed from the Headlines" in the subject line.
Last week's clues were Kanye West with "Stronger", The Temptations' "Ball of Confusion", and Ella Fitzgerald singing "Vote for Mr. Rhythm."
The headline we were looking for was Kanye West promising to run for president in 2020. Sheri Walsh of Crescent Valley, BC was our winner.
And since last week, the Kanye ticket has gotten even more interesting.
Singer Taylor Swift says she'll be Kanye's running mate in a tweet with the hashtag #KanTay2020.
So not wanting our neighbours to the South to have all the fun, our question for you is: which unlikely Canuck would you like to see moving into 24 Sussex Drive this fall?
So far the nominees include Ellen Page, Rick Mercer, Don Cherry and Naheed Nenshi, the mayor of Calgary.
