The closing of a local bar doesn't usually get national media coverage, but Hy's Steakhouse in Ottawa holds a special place in this nation's history. For decades it's been Ottawa's go-to drinking spot for parliamentarians and journalists. This week, Hy's announced it will close in February.

CBC's Peter Armstrong, former CBCer Don Newman and The Huffington Post's  Althia Raj share memories of Hy's. Plus, Brent talks to author, and Hy's regular,  Mark Bourrie about why Canadian politicians were once "world-class boozehounds".
