An Instant Oral History of the Killings in Rabaa
Wednesday was one of the most violent days in modern Egyptian history. Egyptian authorities stormed the protest camps of supporters of deposed President Mohammed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. Egypt's Health Ministry estimates that over 600 people were killed Wednesday alone. The Muslim Brotherhood put the death count at over 2,000. To try to make sense of the chaos, we turn to six journalists who were in Rabaa for a Day 6 Instant Oral History: Bel Trew, Elisa Iannacone, Tara Todras-Whitehill, Maged Atef, Tom Finn, and Alastair Beach.
