Every region in Canada has its own unique cuisine. In Newfoundland, it's all about cod—but not the parts of the fish familiar to most people.
The spirit of making something delicious out of the so-called "nasty bits" is at the heart of Newfoundland's food culture. Fishermen in Newfoundland would send the fish out to the world and feed themselves with the parts nobody wanted.
Lori McCarthy, who owns a food tourism company Cod Sounds, tells Candy about her mission to teach people about Newfoundland's traditional food.
