Halifax's poet laureate uses poetry to call out concert-goers for wearing redface at A Tribe Called Red show
Rebecca Thomas wrote a poem about her experience.
Rebecca Thomas was enraged at the sight of imitation war paint at a recent A Tribe Called Red concert in Halifax.
The Mi'kmaw poet laureate said she saw people with "red streaks across their cheeks, and on their chin and their forehead." When confronted, the concert-goers in redface got upset and asked Rebecca to show her status card.
