They sat on the highway for more than thirty hours. Going nowhere. About a hundred motorists were stuck in their vehicles after that massive snow-storm dumped more than a metre of snow on parts of Western New York State.

One of them was trucker Samuel Martin. When we spoke to him, he'd been trapped for more than 30 hours.

They just abandoned this whole side of the freeway...they never came over here ever to ask anybody if they needed anything.

Off the highways, at least seven deaths have been connected to the snow-fall, and more snow is in the forecast. While Carol was on the phone with the trucker, he got his rig moving, and was finally able to leave the highway.

Instead of stopping for a rest, Samuel decided to keep on trucking, planning to stop later tonight at a truck-stop on his way to Massachusetts.
