No seriously, there's a whole wall of tinsel. And a disco ball
The weather cleared up just enough for Alvvays to take its place as headliner at the 2019 CBC Music Festival, and are we ever happy that happened.
Set up in front of a wall of tinsel and under a disco ball, the Toronto-based band (with members originally from Nova Scotia and P.E.I.) played hits from its self-titled debut album and 2017 follow-up, Antisocialites — both of which made it to the Polaris short list in their respective years.
Watch three of those performances below, all songs from Alvvays' sophomore album.
