Last year, Justin Bieber released his first album in five years, Changes. Now, almost exactly a year after its release, Bieber has announced his followup, titled Justice (out March 19).

"In a time when there's so much wrong with this broken planet we all crave healing and justice for humanity," the Canadian pop star wrote on Twitter. "In creating this album my goal is to make music that will provide comfort, to make songs that people can relate to and connect to so they feel less alone."

Bieber has been teasing new music in recent months with social media updates from inside the recording studio. Since putting out Changes — which is nominated for best pop vocal album and best pop solo performance at this year's Grammy Awards — Bieber has released a number of singles including "Holy" featuring Chance the Rapper, "Lonely," and "Anyone." Bieber also appeared on fellow Toronto artist Shawn Mendes' latest album, on the track "Monster."

In his album announcement on Twitter, Bieber expanded on the title's meaning: "I know that I cannot simply solve injustice by making music but I do know that if we all do our part by using our gifts to serve this planet and each other that we are that much closer to being united."

He continued: "This is me doing a small part. My part. I want to continue the conversation of what justice looks like so we can continue to heal."
