3 Juno Awards moments that made us laugh out loud
Remember the time Jann Arden crowd-surfed to the stage?
The Juno Awards are often remembered for their incredible musical performances, but over the years, the many hosts and guests have also made us laugh.
Below, we've chosen three incredible Juno moments that brought us joy, laughter and fear for beloved singer-songwriter Jann Arden's safety.
1985: Andrea Martin and Martin Short host the Junos
Canada is home to some of the world's best comedians and two of them, SCTV stars Andrea Martin and Martin Short, showed off their skills as the hosts of the 1985 Juno Awards. The two opened the show by trading some compliments, or at least they tried. Who knew Short was actually that short in real life?
1997: Jann Arden's grand entrance
Jann Arden hosted the 1997 Juno Awards, and her entrance was definitely one of the most memorable in Junos history. Not many people can crowd-surf with ease and grace the way Arden did on this evening.
1999: Barenaked Ladies accept their Juno Award for 'One Week'
Barenaked Ladies weren't at the 1999 Junos but they were able to accept their two awards — for best pop album and best single of the year for their smash hit "One Week" — all the way from Australia. Host Mike Bullard teased the members for their sunny attire but also had fun with their winning song title, telling the guys they actually won the award for "best single for one week." Good one, Mike.
