In 1989, a young gay activist who was openly HIV-positive was stabbed to death aboard a city bus. The murder made the headlines, shaking Montreal’s queer community to the core. Nobody suspected that this was to be the first in a series of gay male murders in the city. Another activist, Michael Hendricks, began documenting other unsolved homicides whose crime scenes bore certain similarities.
