Here are my top 10 movies of all time, please bear in mind I have only seen 11 movies
#10 - Meet Joe Black (1998)
Not a great movie. But what can you do? If I'd seen 257 movies, this would probably be #256. But I haven't, I've seen 11, so it comes in at #10.
#9 - While You Were Sleeping (1995)
I don't usually love romantic comedies, but this one… actually I don't love it either. The fact that it's my #9 film of all time means little, when you consider the limited amount of viewing I have done. I'm not saying it's the 9th best movie of all time! I'm saying I haven't seen much.
#8 - Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)
Possibly an improvement on the first entry in the reboot. Wouldn't know, to be honest.
It might not have been smart to begin with the sequel. But what that I've said so far would make you think I'm smart when it comes to film-watching?
#7 - Meet Joe Dirt (2001)
Do I want to include Meet Joe Dirt? No, of course I don't want to include Meet Joe Dirt. But if I didn't include Meet Joe Dirt I'd have to include Batman & Robin.
I didn't want to include Meet Joe Black either, but what can you do?
Wait. I've seen 11 movies ever, in my life, at all, and two of their titles begin with "Meet Joe"? Maybe my viewing habits are more interesting than I suspected.
Wait, on second thought I think it's just called Joe Dirt. Sorry about that. Not a big movie guy. As you could have guessed.
#6 - Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999)
#5 - Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002)
#4 - Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997)
There was a marathon on CITY.
#3 - The Englishman Who Went Up A Hill But Came Down A Mountain (1995)
I've seen about five minutes of this film, but the title alone does it for me.
#2 - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991)
Now here's a sequel that didn't need the viewing of the first one. Maybe.
#1 - Citizen Kane (1941)
Honestly, maybe I should leave this off the list altogether.
Obviously it's great, but it makes my list look pretty weird with Citizen Kane at #1 and Secret of the Ooze at #2.
We just watched it in class one day. Obviously I never would have made time to check it out myself.
But it makes it look like I can actually appreciate good movies, and have seen a breadth of them, but just picked these weird random ones for the rest of my top 10.
No. That's not the case. I had to put them. What else was I going to do, include Batman & Robin??
HONOURABLE MENTION: Batman & Robin (1997)
