Every year, International Women's Day falls on March 8. We can't think of a better way to celebrate than by kicking back and laughing along with some of our favourite performers from Winnipeg Comedy Festival and Ha!ifax Comedy Fest.

Amanda Brooke Perrin

Hailing from Calgary, Amanda is the creator and star of An Awkward Girl Dates. She recently finished writing for the second season of Disney Channel's Fast Layne and is currently developing a new show with the BBC.

Carol Zoccoli

A former SNL Brazil cast member, Carol has called Toronto home for the last five years, instantly winning over the hearts of Canadian comedy fans with her energetic and clever material. Next up is her solo show How To Beat Up Any Man which will run this April at the Second City's John Candy Box theatre in Toronto.  

Caitlin Langelier

BC transplant Caitlin Langelier exploded onto the Toronto stand-up scene winning the Tim Sims Encouragement Award, Eugene Levy Writing Award, and the Bite TV Sketch Award. She produces children's television and can next be seen opening for Colin Mochrie at the Timmins Rock 2nd Annual Comedy Night on March 12.

Julie Kim

This clip from Canadian Comedy Award nominated stand-up comedian Julie Kim has resonated with millions of fans worldwide, and it's not hard to see why. Fans can catch her performing regularly around the Vancouver, with several North American tour dates scheduled for later this year.

Courtney Gilmour

After winning JFL's Homegrown competition in 2017, Courtney filmed sets at both the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and Ha!ifax Comedy Fest. She also founded the Dream Leg Foundation, to raise money for a new prosthetic limb and raise awareness about accessibility to quality prosthetics in Canada.

Rebecca Reeds

In addition to performing, emerging comedian Rebecca Reeds co-hosts The Villain Was Right podcast on the From Superheroes Network, where she and fellow comedian Craig Fay watch films and television from the villain's perspective to determine if they were really all that bad.
