4 in 10 Canadians believe science is a matter of opinion. Here are other things 4 in 10 Canadians believe
According to a recent survey, 43% of Canadians believe that scientific findings are a matter of opinion. Here are some other things that same cohort of Canadians also believes:
1. When curling, movement of the stone is not determined by scientific principles like inertia, friction, or spin. The movement of all curling stones has been predetermined by "Curly Boy", a curling-obsessed stone giant who roamed the Northwest Territories roughly 1,000 years ago.
2. If you hold an empty Tim Hortons coffee cup up to your ear in Victoria, British Columbia, you can hear the bubbling of a fresh pot of Tim Hortons coffee being brewed from a secondary location in beautiful Newfoundland.
3. That thing in the sky is not the moon. It is a floating A & P supermarket that only those entitled snobs from Toronto are allowed to visit. Typical!
4. By Canadian law, Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby has full Prima Nocta rights within the borders of the country.
5. If you look in the mirror and say "Eh" 1,867 times, a delicious St. Lawrence Market back bacon sandwich will appear in your toilet. (Do not eat this sandwich, however. It is cursed. And it has been in a toilet).
6. Canadian celebs living in Hollywood like Jim Carrey, Ryan Reynolds, Alanis Morissette and Ryan Gosling still love Canada, talk about Canada all the time, and just generally remember that Canada exists.
