What do Kermit the Frog, Oscar Wilde, and Magic: The Gathering have in common? Gavin Crawford
Because News is CBC Radio One's raucous news quiz show that not only inspires some hysterical answers, but opens up some real conversations. And that's largely due to its host, Gavin Crawford, whose manner has the sort of casual affability that makes you care about the questions he's asking.
We roped the Because News host into answering all of our Cultural Speedround questions
When Gavin Crawford, host of CBC Radio One's hysterical quiz show Because News, agreed to sit down with CBC Arts for a Cultural Speedround, we knew from his affable presence on the show that his quick responses would be surprising and kind of delightful. After all, who still watches The Muppet Movie AND plays Magic: The Gathering? (Yes, all hate mail resulting from that question may be addressed directly to Lise Hosein.)
Catch Because News on CBC Radio One on Saturdays at 11 a.m. and Mondays at 11:30 a.m., or listen on Sirius XM, Channel 169.
Crawford will also play a lead role in The Terrible Parents at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre from April 6-17.
Watch Exhibitionists Sundays at 4:30pm (5 NT) on CBC.
