'The feeling of inclusion:' what Canada means to actress Zoie Palmer

Actress Zoie Palmer, star of 'Dark Matter,' shares how she is proud to live and work in one of the world's most inclusive countries.

'This is a country where you can be who you are.'

If there's one word that's synonymous with Canada for Zoie Palmer it's "inclusion."

The well-travelled Dark Matter star has seen a vast array of cultures and traditions worldwide but for her, nothing compares to the openness of Canada. In a time where there is so much division in the world, Canada continues to follow its belief in always accepting people for who they are, no matter where they're from.

Don't miss the 2017 Canadian Screen Awards airing Sunday, March 12 at 8 pm/8:30 NT on CBC. Palmer was one of 10 finalists for this year's Fan's Choice Award.
