Did you know that 40 per cent of the cattle used for the production of Canadian beef are raised on the Prairies? 

Canada is the 11th largest producer and sixth largest exporter of beef in the world, sending beef products to the U.S., China, Mexico, Japan and Hong Kong.

In Cochrane, Alberta, near the foothills of the majestic Canadian Rocky Mountains, third generation cattle ranchers John and Tracy Buckley raise cows and calves for consumption on Quarter Circle X Ranch. In their lifetime of cattle-raising, they've seen a lot of change as technology has made life a lot easier for both the ranchers and the cows.
