Man dead after 2-vehicle crash in Etobicoke

A man has died after a two-vehicle collision in the area of Atomic Avenue and North Queen Street Friday, police say.

A man has died after a two-vehicle collision in Etobicoke on Friday, police say.

In a news release, police said the crash happened near the intersection of Atomic Avenue and North Queen Street. Officers were called to the area at about 11:45 a.m.

Police said a 51-year-old man was driving a black Toyota sedan eastbound on North Queen Street and another 51-year-old man was driving a black Volkswagen SUV westbound when the two vehicles collided.

The driver of the Toyota was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver and passenger in the Volkswagen SUV were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

North Queen Street was closed in the area as police investigated the collision.
