2 pedestrians struck, 1 killed on Innes Road
Adult pedestrians struck shortly after 2 p.m. near Orchardview Avenue
A serious collision in Orléans on Tuesday has left one pedestrian dead and another in hospital in critical condition, police and paramedics say.
The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) reported the incident on X shortly after 2 p.m.
A vehicle struck the two pedestrians, both adults, on Innes Road between Tenth Line Road and Portebello Drive.
Video footage taken by Radio-Canada shows debris and a downed pole at the intersection of Innes Road and Orchardview Avenue.
One of the pedestrians died of their injuries at the scene while the other, a woman, was taken to hospital and is in critical condition, according to the OPS.

Three people from the vehicle were taken to hospital for assessment, the paramedic service added.
Police have closed off streets in the area and have warned of significant traffic delays for hours.
