Join us for an exclusive screening of an episode from CBC's Black Life: Untold Stories — an eight-part documentary series that reframes the rich and complex histories of Black experiences in Canada — on March 12 at Cinéma du Musée.

Presented in partnership with the Black Life Impact Foundation, the event will include a screening of one episode, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Nantali Indongo, host of CBC's The Bridge.

The episode we will show is Revolution Remix. Directed by Michèle Stephenson, it is an exploration of two era-defining Black empowerment events in 1960s Montreal.

Please join us for refreshments and music after the screening.

CBC's Black Life: Untold Stories series features eight Black Canadian directors and their unique perspectives to considerations of slavery, Black empowerment, hip-hop, immigration, art and literature, sports, policing and settlements, in separate episodes.

Tickets for the March 12 event are free but you have to register in advance.

When: Tuesday, March 12 , 2024, at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Cinéma du Musée (1379-A Sherbrooke St. W., Montreal)

Timing: Doors open at 6:30 p.m., the screening and panel take place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and the reception runs from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
