The two people who were found dead in an Ottawa home last Saturday died in a murder-suicide, Ottawa police say.
The body of Ashley Boudreau, 24, was identified Tuesday. Police had already identified the body of Andrew Ferguson, 33.
Autopsies and an investigation indicate Ferguson killed Boudreau before committing suicide, police said in a news release Tuesday.
Investigators found the two bodies Saturday afternoon at 446 Cambridge St. S., just south of Highway 417 and west of Bronson Avenue, after a concerned citizen called police.
Police had been called to the same address on Jan. 7 to deal with a domestic disturbance. The Ontario Special Investigations Unit is now looking into the police response to that initial call.
