Police have identified a man accused of killing a Moose Jaw, Sask., woman earlier this week.
Otto Edner Hansen, 37, is charged with first-degree murder.
Court documents identified the victim as Deborah Smith. Her body was found in a home in the eastern part of the city Wednesday morning. Moose Jaw police said she had been stabbed.
Police said it's the city's first murder in two years.
Hansen is also facing two charges of breach of undertaking. Police said Hansen was released from custody earlier this year after allegedly attacking Smith.
One of the conditions of his release was that he stay away from her.
Hansen appeared before a justice of the peace Wednesday and is being held in custody. He's scheduled to be back in provincial court Friday.
