The Golden Globes want to honour podcasting

Vulture's culture critic Nicholas Quah explains why the awards show is taking an interest in audio

The Golden Globes have taken notice of podcasting's large audiences and celebrity hosts. The awards show announced that it wants to honour these audio stories in 2026 with a new category: Best Podcast.
Today on Commotion, host Elamin Abdelmahmoud speaks with Vulture's culture critic, Nicholas Quah, about why the Golden Globes decided to add an audio category to its award show and what it means for the future of the podcast industry.
