Halifax police are investigating a shooting that temporarily closed a section of a busy roundabout in the city's west end early Friday morning.

Police say officers were called to the 200-300 block of&nbsp;St. Margarets Bay Road around 5:30 a.m.

They say a man was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say they do not believe the shooting was random and there is no threat to the public.

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to contact&nbsp;police.
