Foul play not suspected in death of person found in Bowmanville building fire

Person not yet identified, police say
Police say there is no evidence of foul play in the death of a person found in a downtown Bowmanville building badly damaged by a fire last week.
The person was found by during the Ontario fire marshal's investigation into the blaze on March 6, police previously said.
A post-mortem examination found no signs of foul play, and the the injuries are believed to be a result of the fire, Durham Regional Police said in a news release Monday.
Investigators are still trying to identify the victim, police said.
On the day of the blaze, the Clarington fire service said one person was unaccounted for after several homes were evacuated as a result of the fire. It was unclear at the time if that person was inside the building during the blaze.
Police said the Ontario fire marshal's office is still investigating.
